Our Story So Far

1949 – Our Company King Trailer Industries was founded by Ralph King.

1971 – King Caravans started selling, servicing and repairing Caravans of all makes and models such as: Chesney, Capricorn, Viscount, Coronet, Argonaut, Franklin, Kooee and Statesman.

1989 – King Caravans became ta Distributor of Jayco Caravans.

1995 – Adjoining land in Florence Street Moonah was purchased to enable our caravan yard to expand.

2002 – We purchased a larger site situated on main road Moonah to keep up with the ever-increasing range of Jayco products.

2007 (July) – Our dedicated King Caravans Jayco Service Centre was purchased on Charles Street in Moonah and developed to perform Jayco servicing, warranty and repair work.

2007 (August) – Adjoining land in Amy Street of Moonah was purchased to increase our existing King caravans sales facility.

2014 – King Trailer Industries new retail spare parts and accessories outlet was built to support our brands such as: Jayco Spare Parts, Coast to Coast, Camec, Camco, Thetford, Dometic, ALKO, Dexter, Hayman Reese, Trojan, Dunbier and Mackay Marine products just to name a few. Our ARB 4×4 Accessories Hobart Store was built to support our caravan and service departments dedicated to fitting towbars, electric brakes and accessories to makes of towing vehicles and motorhomes.

2020 – Renovations and yard improvements have commenced in line with our business trading name changing to Jayco Hobart.
